Surfsong Cottage Guest Book
This guest book was created for a vacation house located on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. This book is 8" tall by 11" wide with 75 off-white pages. The cover is tan Nigerian goatskin leather which blind stamps beautifully. The covers have raised panels front and back and the front is blind stamped with the name of the cottage and the names of the owners. There is also a blind stamped shell. The spine and back cover were left blank. This book is simple yet elegantly uncluttered. It really takes full advantage of the color change that you get when you blind stamp this type of leather (the leather darkens in response to the heat and pressure of the metal letters) and the lovely color of the leather itself.
A book like this would cost around $190 due to the cost of the leather.
