Running Horses Baby Journal, Album, & Box Set
You may have seen the butterfly baby journal, album, and box set on the gallery page of my site. Well, the little girl for whom that butterfly book set was made now has a baby sister! Her parents wanted the same type of set (the books have the same number of pages and are the same size as the butterfly set), but with a completely different theme. Horses seemed appropriate since this new baby kicked all the time in utero. The covers on this set are dark green vellum book cloth. The nighttime horse scene was added with silver and pewter stamping foils. The baby's name and birth information was stamped under the "ground line" on the front and back cover. Each star was stamped on individually. This set was done in a dark green, tan, and silver theme. The endpapers on these books were a crinkled tan paper with little sparkling fleck of mica (like stars) embedded in it. I really liked the way it turned out. A clamshell box stamped with horses completed the set. Again, I will point out that stamping on the edge of a clamshell box is something I am not willing to do very often (you have to stamp the cloth precisely before it is added to the box), but I also love returning customers! And this customer is one of my best!
A set like this would cost around $475.
