This wedding album was created for a couple who wanted a "boat on a river" design on the front cover.  Since the design needed to take up much of the front cover, I thought it should be done as a raised design.  The image of the rock-lined river snaking off into the distance was created as a raised design by building up and carving away the underlying cover board.  Ultimately, the carved design was covered with navy pigskin leather.  This album as 40 pages that are 11" square.  The front features the raised design of a rowboat pointed up the river towards the setting sun.  There are a pair of raised cords on the spine along with some silver lettering and a silver leaf.  The boulders closest to the viewer are pushing the limits of how high a cover relief can be, but I wanted to give them more of a rounded "boulder" look. 

A book like this would cost around $440.
