Leaf on the Water Journal
(Red with Gold Leaf)
Occasionally a customer will request one of my designs in a different color from what is pictured on my site and if that color leather is available, I'm happy to comply! I have made many leaf on the water journals over the years. Usually, the cover is a mottled dark blue leather. But this customer wanted the cover in red with the leaf in gold. The leaf is cut from gold paper and permanently affixed to the cover. It is then coated with a thin layer of wax to help protect the surface of the paper. The raised "water rings" design wraps around to the back cover. This journal is 6" wide by 8" tall with 200 pages.
A book like this would cost around $185.
