Barn Photograph Under Glass Journal
Page size: 8.5" x 7"
80 lined pages of acid-free, archival paper in off white with light brown lines.
Pages are handsewn in signatures with cotton thread (by sewing the book this way, it will lay open completely flat).
Endpapers are decorative gray-tan textured cover stock.
Cover is made of dark burgundy pigskin leather over binder's board.
Cover has a permanently mounted black & white photograph under Plexiglas. The black & white photograph of an old barnwood building was taken, processed, and printed by me. It's one of my original photos. This is mounted in the cover PERMANENTLY (you cannot change the photo). Photo is outlined with white archival paper and protected under Plexiglas. The photograph is also accented with a raised "frame" around it, under the leather.
Please note that while Plexiglas will not shatter, it CAN get scratches which cannot be removed. This would not be the best book to throw into a backpack. It should be protected from scratches. A custom clamshell box could be made for this book to protect it (feel free to e-mail me about this possibility).
Made with all archival adhesives.
This is an entirely handmade book.
This book would make a wonderful journal or guest book.
