21 pages of heavy, acid-free, archival Arches cover paper in off white.
Pages are assembled by hand using a gluing process. Stubbing (spacers) has been added to the spine to allow for the thickness of the photos that will be added later by you.
Decorative endpapers are a swirling gray-green pattern.
Cover is very dark green pigskin leather over a raised pine tree design.
The word "Photographs" is hot foil stamped in script in gold under the raised tree on the front cover and also in the center of the spine. The spine of the album is decorated with raised cords and more gold foil as well as a brown "pinecone" type decoration across the top of the raised cord.
Made with all archival adhesives.
This book was entirely handmade from start to finish.
Photos can be mounted in this book using clear, archival, self-stick photo corners which ARE INCLUDED. This could also be used scrapbook-style and items could be glued directly to the pages.
The amount of spacers in the spine are meant to accomodate photos on ONE SIDE OF THE PAGE only (adding more could make the book look overstuffed; it could keep it from closing properly and put stress on the binding). This is an album for 20 very special photos up to 5"x7" (a horizontal 8"x10" photo could fit, but may be inclined to pop out of the photo corners when you turn the page...if you plan to put large photos in this album, I can include archival, self-stick, double-sided sticky squares with this order that work on the back of a photo like double-sided tape and permanently attach the photo to the page).
