This very large Book of Shadows was ordered by a customer who requested a raised Pentacle on the front with a large eye in the center of a "vortex".  I wasn't quite sure how I was going to accomplish this, but after several weeks and a lot of time spent carving the binder's board, I think I arrived at a successful design.  This book has 800 (yes, 800!) pages of off-white paper and the pages measure 16" tall by 12.5" wide, the absolute maximum page size I can make a book.  This book is about 4" thick.  The cover is black pigskin leather with a recessed circle, carved intertwining 5-pointed star with a taxidermy elephant eye in the center of a carved "vortex".  The spine is accented with 3 sets of 3 raised bands with pewter stamped lines.  I really liked the resulting book and there should be room for my customer to write in this book for the rest of his life.

A book like this would cost around $800.
