Light Blue Linen Wedding Guest Book with Seashell Motif This bride-to-be knew what she wanted in a guest book. She wanted it to be pale and light with blue and seafoam green colors if possible. Her wedding would be taking place on the beach so she really wanted a seashell motif to the book. We settled on light blue linen bookcloth for the cover and found a shell design that could be made into a small die; small enough to use on the front cover AND the spine. The words on the cover were stamped in pewter stamping foil with the shell in silver. The same color scheme was used for the quote stamped on the back cover. This book also had a subtle raised panel detail on the front and back cover giving it a "framed" look. This book also had a pewter-colored ribbon page marker to match the cover type. The overall size of this book was roughly 7" tall by 11" wide; a nice long landscape format. The pages were blank (unlined) off-white archival paper. The seafoam green color was used inside the book for the endpapers. I also, in this case, printed a title page on vellum that went over a flysheet of paper that had a blue swirl design; so you could see the flysheet through the vellum title page. I think this book was successful in that it incorporated everything the customer was looking for. A book like this would cost around $135. |
