Gabe & Taren Wedding Guest Album
This album was created to hold photos of wedding guests along with their best wishes for the couple. The pages are black, so the guests would write on the pages with a silver paint pen. This album is 10" square with 50 pages. There is room for mounting photos on both sides of every page. The purple African daisy was used on the couple's wedding invitations and they wanted to incorporate that image into the cover design. Their invitations also featured a lovely script type and a large custom die was created for stamping the lettering onto the black goatskin cover with white stamping pigment. The spine was stamped in white using the more plain moveable metal type and a scroll decoration I already had that went well with the custom lettering on the front cover. The daisy image was reproduced on water and fade-resistant Epson Professional photo paper and permanently mounted into a recess on the front cover with a thin matte of silver paper. The gorgeous lettering is really the focus of this cover so it was worth having a custom die made.
A book like this would cost around $320 including the cost of a die that size.
