Dragon's  Eye  Journals  in  Navy  Blue,  Red,  Dark Green,  and  Burgundy  Leather

I came up with this idea after a request fell through to make a journal with a "Demon's Eye" on it.  That project never happened, but I loved the idea and wanted to see how realistic I could make an eye on a journal.  I found these great taxidermy eyes, made for different reptiles in gorgeous colors.  I created a different raised design on the cover of each of these journals using the taxidermy eyes, white leather for the white part behind them, and a slit in the leather of the cover to create the eyelid effect.  I was going for an "earth, air, fire, and water" theme with the colors of this set of 4 books.  I love these and hope I'll get more requests to make them in the future.  Any of the eye designs can be made in any of the colors pictured below.  So pick a color and pick your design and send me an e-mail so I can get started on a custom dragon's eye journal for you.  The books pictured all have 120 pages of lined, off-white paper that is 8" tall by 7.5" wide.  I can make a book with this cover design with larger pages, more pages, or unlined pages, but this will affect the cost.  Also, the taxidermy eyeball is a fixed size, so the eye will end up looking smaller if it's in the center of a cover larger than those pictured here.  These eyeballs are very permanently attached to the cover.  Each book pictured here has a different endpaper color.  And in these examples, the covers were made extra-long so that I could stamp the inside edge with a running vine pattern.  This also only works on small books (the vine design I have is not long enough for larger ones).  The colors pictured below are the only ones available for this type of design.  Also, please note that the images of the whole cover are more correct in color than the closeup images of the eye which are only meant to show the true eyeball color.  The back covers of the books pictured below are blank, but if I were to custom-make one for you, lettering could be added at an additional cost.  Who wouldn't love a book cover that looks like it's following you as you go across the room?!

A single dragon's eye journal in this size and shape would cost $260.
