Complete Wedding Set in Dark Brown and Light Blue ~ Falling Leaves Guest Book, Photo Album, Clamshell Box, and Four Bridesmaid's Gift Journals This complete wedding set was created for a couple who wanted everything to coordinate but not match identically. They liked my Falling Leaf Anniversary Journal but wanted photos on the fronts of their books, so I made their covers out of dark brown leather with an inset sepia tone photo and blind stamped leaves falling diagonally across the cover. Their wedding colors were dark brown and light blue. This couple wanted an engagement photo on the cover of their guest book and a wedding photo on the cover of the album. At the time I made these books, the wedding had not happened yet. So I made everything but left the recessed area on the front of the photo album blank. I held onto the album for several months and when the wedding photos came in, the couple picked the one they liked best and I added it to the album and mailed it off to them. Making both the guest book and the album at the same time is the only way to guarantee that the leather color and texture will match since this can vary between batches of leather. I also need to measure both books at once to ensure a perfect fit in the clamshell box. The box made to hold the guest book and the album is covered in light blue linen book cloth with dark brown leaves stamped across the cover. The guest book has 100 unlined pages that are 8" tall by 10" wide. The album is the same size with 25 pages and room for photos to be mounted on both sides of every page. The four bridesmaids journals each have 100 unlined pages that are 6" tall by 9" wide. The bridesmaids journals have covers of light blue linen or eggshell linen bookcloth with dark brown stamping. Contrasting colors were used for the ribbon page markers and the endpapers (light blue journals have dark brown ribbons and endpapers and eggshell journals have light blue ribbons and endpapers. I thought this made a very nice set. The randomly-placed leaves added detail and interest without being at all gaudy or baroque.
