Dark Brown Leather Cigar Journal This book was ordered by a customer whose fiance is a cigar enthusiast. She thought he should have a place to record notes on different cigars. Everything about this journal is meant to relate to cigars from the long, thin landscape layout to the cover design to the mottled endpapers that have a bit of a tobacco look. This book has 200 unlined off-white pages that are 6" tall by 11" wide. The cover is dark brown goatskin leather. I drew up a line drawing of a smoldering cigar and sent it off to have a metal die made. This die was then used to blind stamp the image on the cover of the book. There was a dedication added to the back cover. Everything on the cover is blind stamped to continue the muted and earthy feel of the book. A book like this would cost around $160 plus the cost of the die used for the cover image (a die this size could cost around $90). |
